This Pure Single Cask Rum release is an exciting collaboration with our neighbours at Derwent Distillery, who gave us a delicious 100L Single Malt Whisky barrel, in exchange for a 100L Pure Single Rum barrel from us. We both filled the casks while they were wet, drawing on their intense flavour qualities, creating two unique Tasmanian spirit releases; a whisky finished rum and a rum finished whisky. The over 3 year old rum born of this barrel swap features a velvety smooth mouthfeel and long length on palate. Tasting notes from the team include soft caramel, light milk chocolate, a pleasant white peppery-ness on the palate and a hint of sweet citrus.
