Project X - Black barley wine. A delicious and incredibly viscous beer. Using only malt, water, yeast and hops, the fact this beer has strong notes of chocolate is truly impressive. A four pack of 375ml cans that showcase some of our best work. Each of these beers was matured for 10 to 16 months in ex-whisky or ex-rum casks, drawing the residual spirit out of the oak, losing water to evaporation, and deepening in complexity of flavour over the process, and mellowing the strong alcohol content. This results in high strength beers packed with flavour, but wonderfully balanced. As with some of our other beers, these are subject to seasonal availability, small batch sizes and experimenting with unique, one-off beers as well.
